Please join us for another hike through the past with this year's iteration of "The Hills are on Fire" PIT project on the Angeles National Forest! Since our last adventure, the hills have continued to burn, revealing new and exciting opportunities for archaeological exploration. This year we will continue on our journey as we conduct surveys to locate, photograph, map, and document archaelogical sites within recent burn areas of the San Gabriel Mountains. Passport in Time volunteers will gain experience in systematic survey methods, map and compass reading, artifact recording, and much, much more. Join our team as we explore the rich human history of the San Gabriel Mountains, and enjoy the beauty of all the new life re-emerging from the ashes!
