The Northern Bedrock Historic Preservation Corps (NHBPC), in partnership with the research branch of the US Forest Service, has entered into an agreement to restore the Halfway Ranger District Ranger Dwelling site. The site was constructed in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Our work will involve repairing logs with Dutchman repairs, log stabilization and staining, window and screen repair and replacement, and working on other preservation and restoration on the CCC-constructed round log structures.
