The Big Flat Guard Station is one of two administrative sites on the Fishlake NF, both of which date to 1908 - just several years after the creation of the Forest Service. Unfortunately, time, disuse, and the elements have taken their toll, and the Station and its outbuildings are in need of some, tender, loving, care. For that, we need your help! So, this summer, PIT volunteers and Fishlake staff will repaint the Ranger's house, two stall barns, and the outhouse all back to the original colors (dark redwood and white trim). The are is chock full of attractions, so there is much to see and do during your hours "off the clock!" We will also employ a cook to provide dinners Monday through Friday of each session. So, come help beautify this historic Utah treasure; stay for the views and activities! We hope to see you in August!
